What's the Next Microsoft and Who are you?

I am a Microsoft manager who sees lots of the good we do here at the company, but I also see a lot of the bad. I have recently been inspired by Lisa Brummel's listening tour and some other feedback forums (as well as Mini Microsoft and other online forums) to start posting my thoughts about making Microsoft better.

The reason I chose this title is because I hear people talk about "Who is going to be the Next Microsoft" that experiences similar growth and arguably great results. I want Microsoft to be the Next Microsoft. And I figured I would write down some thoughts on changes that may help us accomplish this.

So look for some hopefully brilliant ideas/suggestions/finger-pointing on the good and bad at MSFT. I know there are those that believe change can't happen, but I refuse to buy in to that belief.

If the people inside Microsoft don't want to listen to you then don't bother trying to help them. I spent 2 years trying to convince my previous employer to drop Microsoft software for cheaper, better alternatives. They didn't want to read my paper outlining how they could save millions of dollars. So I quit and went to a company which exclusively uses open source.

If your company doesn't want your help, then they don't deserve your time. Stating your complaints publicly may gather attention to issues so change is promoted, but this just proves the biggest problem with Microsoft is that they don't care about your issues until there's public outcry. Go work for a better company.

CHIP Verichip in the know. "David Icke."

1- In November 2008, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Scott Silverman, purchased 5.4 million shares of VeriChip common stock from Digital Angel.

2- At this time, CHIP is focused on rebuilding the VeriMed Health Link business, specifically ensuring that their relationships with advocacy groups, hospitals and physicians are maintained. The next step is reigniting their marketing efforts in their core geographies, which will require the addition of medical sales representatives. Furthermore, CHIP will continue the development of the glucose-sensing microchip in conjunction with RECEPTORS LLC, for which they provided an update of Phase I development results several weeks back.

3- CHIP is selling their products via Microsoft's "health website."

4- David Icke* discusses CHIP and the near future of what is coming with their products which will be GOVENMENT MANDATORY mind you.

CHIP is a sleeping giant if you are honest with yourself.

Take care and best wishes,
